When an EV won't charge properly, the fault can live in the charge port, the onboard charger, the charging communication layer, the 12-volt support system — or the charging equipment itself — and isolating it takes vehicle-side diagnostic capability: charging-system test equipment, onboard-charger diagnostics on the power-electronics bench, charge-port and communication testing, and the EVSE interaction test equipment that verifies how the vehicle and charging equipment behave together.
